THE PRODUCTS & PROCESSES
Do you want a floor coating that you must worry about scuffs, stains, and chips with cars pulling in and out along with exposure to fuel, salt, and chemicals? Or do you want a floor that can withstand a jet being rolled in and worked on without damage?
ASSESS AND MEASURE YOUR FLOOR
- Each flooring project is unique, however, the issues we encounter are common. There is a right way and a wrong way to address them.
- An accurate measurement, then a detailed inspection of your existing floor’s condition is a critical first step
MEASURE MOISTURE
You’ve heard that oil and water don’t mix, right? Well neither do moisture and floor coatings.
- Many companies will not take the time to understand the moisture properties in your existing garage floor. If they are not performing a true moisture content test, consider calling someone else.
- Why? Because if you have moisture issues it will require a moisture barrier layer be added or your new floor will have adhesion issues in under 5 years.
REPAIRS
- Most garage floors have some cracks or chips. It’s no big deal unless you don’t fix them properly.
- If you are told repairs are going to be made with an acid etch or just a pressure washer, you are going to have adhesion issues.
- It is like a quick erase marker. The properties are designed to not allow the marker permanently bond to the service.
- Same with concrete… it must be ground with an angle grinder to create a proper surface that will take the coating.
- Filler-up
- When repairs are needed on your floor if you are told they will be using caulk or Quikcrete, you are being set up for failure. These materials are not designed to adhere to a coating.
FLOOR PREPARATION
- Part of our crew’s training is to understand how to assess the existing concrete on your floor and use the appropriate diamond bits for an even
finish with no swirl marks or low spots that could cause uneven coating layers.
COATING APPLICATION
- Not just paint, a true coating process designed to chemically adhere to your floor and last.
- All our flooring options are installed by the same trained pros, use the same quality materials, and are backed by our no-worry Warranty Shield.
- The process is the same: repair, prep, then complete the 6-, 4-, or 3-coat system with pigment, flakes, and top coats.
WE MANAGE YOUR PROJECT ON 3 LEVELS.
- First, the lead installer will be on the job to manage the installation, and assure you are taken care of.
- Second, if there are any outstanding issues, we are right down the street and will give any additional authorization or support as needed.
- Third, we stand behind our work with our Warranty Shield and will address any issues without delay.
